Who We Are


Vas Eli
Founder & CEO
VAS ELI is an award-winning actor based in NYC. A multidisciplinary artist, he is also a director, writer, producer, educator and painter.
Born and raised in Romania, he obtained his BFA at the prestigious National University for Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where he received the Stefan Iordache Award upon graduation. He then got his MFA at Brooklyn College, where he was awarded the Friars’ Club Fellowship.
He made his Off-Broadway debut in Tamburlaine, directed by Sir Michael Boyd at Theater for a New Audience, a show that was awarded "Most Honorable Mention" in the New York Times "Best Shows of 2014." He is honored to have shared the stage with John Douglas Thompson. Also Off-Broadway, he played the titular role In the world premier of Jericho, written by Michael Weller based on Ferenc Molnar’s Liliom.
Since he arrived in NYC, he has worked extensively with Piper Theatre Productions, a company that offered him several scores that would change any actor's life - lead roles in The Lincoln Dress (Brooklyn, Albany NY & Bucharest, Romania) The Nocturnes, The Island of Dr. Moreau (Edinburgh Fringe Bobby Award), Frankenstein, Splitfoot, and We Should Have Seen the Lights Already.
His work has screened at many prestigious film festivals - Slamdance, Austin, Sarasota, to name a few. He is known for the films The Kidnapping of a Fish (Best Supporting Actor Award), Delenda, Varlet, Hell House LLC 2, Far from Here.
Vas Eli most recently played architect Bjarke Ingels opposite Anne Hathaway in the acclaimed Apple TV miniseries WeCrashed, and shared the screen with Morena Baccarin and Kosta Ronin in NBC’s Endgame. He has also guest-starred in ABC’s For Life, opposite Nicholas Pinnock, and also appears in the series finale of The Deuce, opposite Chris Bauer, and in The Blacklist (S. 6, Ep 1), playing opposite Cristopher Lambert.
Playing with Isaach de Bankolé, one of his childhood heroes, in Snakeeater, represents a dream come true for him.

Carolina Đỗ

Carolina Đỗ is a theatre maker, community organizer, and proud descendant of Vietnamese freedom fighters and refugees. An alum of the Soho Rep Writer-Director Lab, JACKLabs, Fresh Ground Pepper Playground Playgroup, and Orchard Project Greenhouse Lab, Carolina’s work is a powerful blend of storytelling and advocacy. Carolina’s writing has been supported by residencies and fellowships at MacDowell, JACK, The Orchard Project Homegrown Lab, The Hearth, Fault Line Theatre, Piper Theater, and Naked Angels. She is a Ma-Yi Lab Playground member and part of Episodic Theater Projects S2 Writers Cohort. Carolina’s works have also been finalists/shortlisted for the Yale Drama Series, Sokhary Chau Fellowship, Leah Ryan Fund, BricLab, and Bushwick Starr; and semifinalists for Playwrights Realm, Space on Ryder, and Princess Grace. As a Co-Founding Producing Artistic Leader of The Sống Collective and Creative Director of Mai House Studio and Betterfly Productions, Carolina is dedicated to fostering community through the arts. In her role as Associate Director for Community Engagement at PlayCo, she bridges the gap between performance and social impact. BFA Brooklyn College
